It's funny, come to think of it.
If anyone is sexist, it's Marvel.
They believed a movie with a female hero wouldn't appeal to a broad crowd, but Wonder Women did pretty well. Really well when you consider it's a part of the DCU. Now people are pretty hyped for Captian Marvel to appear in the sequel of one of the highest grossing movies of all time.
In the tagged image, the girl claimed heroes are heroes because they are male, ignoring at least a dozen female marvel superheroes people were quick to list in the comments. Think about it. They were purposefully ignored BECAUSE they are female.
That 4chan poster is probably right. The writers are probably are privileged women who want to appear oppressed.
What kills me about this is that every single one of these girls is wearing some kind of feminism shirt. The artists put in all this effort to give them different hair colors and styles, different skin tones, different body types, etc, but the girls have no difference of ideology. None. Compliance is mandatory.
That's the weird thing about standards of diversity today. When it comes to things like appearance and sexuality, creators are all but obligated to check off every single box there is. But diversity of opinion? Well, that's just too difficult.
