A big part of the problem is not about the potential quality of the show, the individuals involved or the way they presented it.

The mere existence of this product is a big FUCK YOU to the people actually paying money for anime, actual anime. People paying a company that announces its services as a way to support Japanese studios in an age where it couldn't be possibly more convenient to just watch them somewhere. In an age where everyone involved in the creation of actual anime is known for being overworked and underpayed. Paying a company known for lousy services and deaf of its actual customers only for the chance to reward the actual creators.

In other words: How many shows won't be localized/funded because they wanted to create this? How many long requested improvements won't be made because of this? Why the money I gave to this company is not been used in the way I was told?
