With all the drugs involved, they prolly all fit in there by now.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there might as well be a Bertstrips lore. From what I could gather, after Bert came back from Vietnam, he moved in with Ernie – a murderer, phychopath, and criminal mastermind. Ernie uses Bert as a partner in crime (such as carrying out 9/11), and tries to shock Bert (triggering PTSD and going through traumatic experiences) so that afterwards, Bert forgets about all that they did.

Or maybe it's not like that at all and I'm misinterpriting the deep lore of Bertstrips here.
