I still can't wait to see Elec Man in smash.

My hope is that he's a Newcomer and not an Echo and honestly, the only way I can see people wanting him as an Echo is if they don't know or care about Shadow's character:

Sure, he plays the same as Sonic in Adventure 2 and Heroes, but saying that alone justifies them sharing the same moves completely ignore their personalities; case in point, compare how Shadow fights in Cutscenes compared to Sonic:

Sonic focus on running around and relies mostly in Homing attacks and spin-attacks (at most mixing up a kick here or there), while Shadow is much more reliant in Punchs and Kicks. So much so that as the games went on Sega tried to implement that into his gameplay (He has a dedicated melee button in Shadow the Hedgehog and an aerial combo attack in Sonic '06)

And that's not even bringing up his chaos powers, which go way beyond just teleporting

Personally, I feel Shadow should have at Chaos Spear as a projectile, working as either Lucas's PK Thunder or Robin's Thoron.
