Like, I can get that they're probably getting a lot of those questions and it probably just got under their skin but at the same time there's a lot of factors we straight up don't know that might have damned him to this fate. Like, he might have marketed his tournament wrong and gotten people confused or maybe he lives in a region like SoCal that is famous for local tournaments ranging from cash pools to just complete friendly brackets and the players literally HAVE to ask because unless it's an already well established local tourney how the hell can you know. At the same time, dude probably needs to understand that while a lot of people of all skill levels will attend friendly tourneys just for the fun of it, of it there are a surprising number of people trying to rank up on regional leaderboards so that they can have a chance at breaking into the national or even global smash scene.
