Eh Fortnite simply took Minecraft's place as "that game some people think is cool to hate just because a lot of kids like it and it's really mainstream." Like I swear it seems some people have easily forgotten that the "hate" Fortnite gets now was the same sort of "hate" Minecraft got back when it was the biggest thing on sites like YouTube. Plus we're now at that era where people who were kids when Minecraft came out are probably in their late teens and they're starting to show signs of "back in my day" syndrome.

I really don't see how comparing a battle royale with a building-survival game can make sense.
