BLOODLINES 2 RED FLAGS I love Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines. Perhaps it's my current mindset, but l'm noting major red flags. The game having a pre-order already up and running with a 24 hour early access period for the game. The game already having a season pass. And yes, season passes are b-------. You're basically pre- ordering DLC, which means that the devs have zero financial incentive to make the DLC good or worth the money . No gameplay footage despite being in alpha . Hiring a games journalist as a senior writer for the game who: Created the Hotline Miami 2 r--- panic, which ultimately caused the game to be banned in Australia. Is a fairly open misandrist Is an intersectional ideologue Interviews have also indicated 1. That they're going to interject politics into the game. Real world politics. And they're going to tell you what they think is the good and bad in those politics. 2. They feel'politics have evolved' in the last 15 years. They criticize the game for things like racial stereotyping, being a male power fantasy and for it's portrayal of mental illness. . So if you liked the Malkavians in the original game, be prepared to be disappointed . If you liked any of the China Town characters, be prepared to be disappointed. If you liked characters like Velvet, be prepared to be disappointed. 3. They're drawing upon 5th edition Vampire. The edition that brought us "fascism in play", trigger warnings, a 삵gay, muslim, black oppressed gangrel who beats up misogynists" and who were so f------ woke that they made the Chechen slaughter of gay people into a vampire conspiracy. 4. They're taking great care to 'punch up' instead of punch down in an intersectional sense. People can talk about Paradox and their brand loyalty. But there are red flags and very little but that promise of Paradox quality to offset it. This isn't a pure Paradox release, like Crusader Kings 2, this isa subsidiary releasing the game. So maybe temper the hype because l'm drastically concerned that this game is just using the history of Bloodlines to sell copies, all while neutering the game with politics and ideology. Are we ready going to expect a writer who threw a fit over a fictional, non-r--- in Hotline Miami 2 to allow some of the things the original game did? Things like mind controlling Heather, killing Patty, the effective 'r---' of Ash by Isaac? l severely doubt it.
