About
White Rabbit Pointing at a Clock refers to a piece of artwork of the character White Rabbit, also known as Nivins McTwisp, from Alice in Wonderland pointing at the time on his pocket watch. The drawing became the subject of an image macro series on TikTok in 2025 as meme creators added captions to the image about checking the time. Initially, the memes were set to the song "So Fun" by Seven Harris. The original artwork was created by DeviantArt artist Luz Tapia (LuzTapia) in March 2012. However, its first discovered repost was shared on Pinterest in 2016, as the original artwork was deleted.
The White Rabbit Pointing at a Clock image was revitalized by the All Roads Lead to Rome TikTok trend later in 2025. The image then spread rapidly on Twitter / X in early October 2025 as users paired it with captions about running out of time, commonly in regards to romantic relationships and the process of "aging out" of certain hobbies, activities or character traits. A GIF version of the meme, sourced from the 2010 live-action Alice in Wonderland film, also amassed usage on X.
