Back in 2011, what most people on the Internet told me about RT was to not take their scores seriously, and that box office success meant nothing about the quality of the movie. Now with the internet filled with fandoms it seems there is a competition between fans about who gets the highest RT score and the highest box office. It looks like a religious war from outside.

I fail to see the problem. The critic consensus is pretty accurate and it's kinda obvious that this is the kind of movie that audiences would appreciate more than critics.
