I understand if it's merely too exhausting for the team or maybe even if it's too costly to do another round of support for the game, with the question on if Nintendo is THAT keen on supporting a game like this for this long. But this is not just Super Smash Bros, it's Super Smash Bros Ultimate. It's inherently a very special roster in that "Everyone is Herel" may only be done once, while it also brings in a boatload of fan-requested fighters and interesting new franchises to the mix (Castlevania, Dragon's Quest, Banjo-Kazooie). With such a roster that's not only already appealed to several fan requests, but seems to be a greater collective representation of gaming as a whole with its many third-party franchises, it seems like a bit of a missed opportunity to not see where at least another season might go, whether that's bringing in more famous and fitting 3rd parties, the rest of the fan requests or what have you.
