This is why I can't stand a lot of Isekai mangas.

Yes, there actually are a few good ones that aren't just wish fulfillment fantasies and actually tries to tell a story and world build, but they seem to be the exception, not the rule, sadly.

Instead of making an interesting character, they just create a boring blank slate character for the viewer to identify with. It's why no one cares about Isekai protagonists.

Here's some fun ideas I came up with on the spot:
-Your generic Chad frat boy/jock is teleported into a fantasy world and joins a group of warriors, mercenaries, orcs ect. He's now the nerd of their group. He's weaker than everyone else, but he's also smarter than them!

-A crazy old pastor gets sent to a fantasy world and can now cast magic using the power of Christianity! He's super racist to all the non-humans, but overtime comes to warm up to them

-Two young boys from our world become a knight in a fantasy land. Not knightS just one. It's the "Two kids in a trench coat" trope
