Western Animation - I doubt it was a coincidence

a pretty good cartoon actually, even if heavy on the black stereotypes of the time

interesting fact, the movie was made because the creators thought that there wasn't enough black protagonists in cartoons, and that black people need their heroes too
The film's main characters were even voiced by black actors
so in a way, the intentions behind is were actually rather progressive
