Deals more damage in the first round in combat. Can't see in the dark, but gets away with it because DM forgot. than the martial deals in the whole Gains interesting and unique spells at every level. Has more options encounter. at lvl 1 than the martial has at lvl 20. Only character with STR. Has to carry everything for the party Dumped mental ability scores, doesn't participate in RP. Gets bored and runs into combat. Doesn't need feats, pads out his lower stats to become a more well-rounded character. Requires feats to function, resulting in low stats. Has to shell out his life savings to reach optimal AC Just as useful outside of combat, Can solve any problem with a single spell. Selects spells to fit with his theme and backstory. Only deals one of 3 damage types, no meaningful difference between them. Monsters always resist his attacks. Doesn't gain new abilities as he levels up, just does the same attack twice. Locks down the most powerful enemies, relaxes as his party hacks away at them. Could be fighting naked. Wears clothes for aesthetics. Constantly looking for magic items to grant him small numeric bonuses. Just a regular human who is strong. No other redeemable traits. Doesn't need magic items, takes them anyways and doesn't use them. Took great weapon master thinking he would do a lot of damage, but Party looks to him when something unexpected occurs, always has a solution Spells deal damage even if the enemy Makes noise wherever he goes. Constantly lets party down when he fails his stealth check. passes the save. misses half the time. Sticks with one class all the way through. Has to multi-class to keep up, ends up as a blend of competing Can reach any location in the multiverse using spells, walks because he knows restraint. concepts.
