Huh, this is actually a good point… We always think about "ancestors" as a single entity but, in truth, we had millions of ancestors all spread throughout history, so what could seem shameful to one ancestor, it would make another one proud, so the question "Are my ancestors proud of me?" never really has a definitive answer.

Now I only care about making myself and people I care about proud that are not 6 feet under since centuries ago, since trying to please that many people would just make me want to bury my head 6 feet under instead.
