I'm not pro american neither do I approve of all the bad shit they have done during the last few centuries.

That said, if you are surprised by the fact that not everything in your history is shiny and glorious, I encourage you to look at the rest of the entire world. War, conquest, torture, starvation, genocides, slavery, absolutely EVERYWHERE. We humans are brutal motherfuckers, and it's nothing new.

Don't flagelate yourself over it and think "those white devils" are the source of all problems. Everybody people in history did terrible things for the sake of its own prosperity.
