One-Punch Man - Flashback hype!

In terms of the manga and webcomic.
The manga is still on the "monster vs heroes war" arc, and it STILL has a lot to tell and show. Like Jesus, there's still so many bosses left. While that arc has been concluded a long time ago in the web comic.

And after the "monster war" arc the webcomic has finished:
The Psycho sisters arc. Which goes into detail about Tatsumaki's backstory and this flashback.
The Ninjas arc.
And it's currently on the "Mask" arc.

So the webcomic is two and a half arcs in front of the manga.

As for the "enjoy the ride". That I'll say nothing cause this series SHOULD be experienced without knowing what the next punchline is.

Ok, spoiler time.

Before the sisters arc their relationship is what you saw in the anime/manga.
Tatsumaki think she's better then him, Saitama doesn't care what she say and is slightly annoyed by her.

But during the sisters arc, Saitama fights tatsumaki. Well, it not really a fight, it's more like Saitama is trying to talk Tatsumaki down from killing a enemy while Tatsumaki is trying to get rid of Saitama.
They stop once Tatsumaki's wounds from the last boss fight open up. They talk for a bit and they go their different paths with Tatsumaki realising that maybe she should cool down a bit.

Trust me, it's much better then what I'm making it sound to be.

To put it shortly, Tats and Baldy relationship is basically "indifference". Tatsumaki wants to do things her way alone and doesn't think much of anyone else while Saitama is indifferent about her until she goes too far.
