Real talk, I love Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy because instead of playing the usual washed up actor or fake ultimate hero tropes, they were genuine superpowered heros who also starred into their own shows playing themselves because why not.

In hindsight they also did a damn fine job in attaining (relative) everlasting peace, trapping and sealing the most cunning of their villains, so most of the stuff that happens does not require the services of a superhero in their prime to be solved. Superman and Goku could learn a few lessons from them.

Basically they are 100% more effective than superheroes in both Marvel and DC
