All of this works well… until you realize that the "cops are bad" mentality is pretty much exclusive to the US so a "world" without good cops is far from a possibility right now. Cops everywhere else are just relatively mundane patrollers enforcing basic law, while all the tough groundwork is left to the military instead. There is corruption among their ranks, but on case-by-case scenarios more often than not.

I think getting rid of the police is far too extreme, especially since most other countries' police forces aren't as fucked as Americas. American Police just need some sort of functional oversight in the hands of the public.
