That seems very impracticable.There's no way aborting a few cells barely a few weeks old can offer much power.

But, as weird of a mental tangent it is, this made me think about something. In fantasy worlds with magic systems and when actual, tangible souls exist that can be proven and even used in said magic, when does a baby get its soul?

Would it be at conception or just whenever it has a consciousness?

For whatever reason this got me remember back my headcanon for the old MK games, where you'd always hear a scream whenever Shang Tsung used his fireball (which if you haven't noticed, they're flaming skulls).

I used to think that whenever he used a fireball, some poor sap walking around just has his skull teleported off their head to fuel the fireball, a la "and that's how I lost my medical license".
