I think people are less concerned with Abby being buff and more with why she was made buff to begin with. Abby working out most of her life so she can play golf with Joel makes sense, but it wouldn't be surprising if Naughty Dog made her that way due to cultural/political beliefs, especially since Neil Druckmann seems to be a fan of Anita Sarkeesian's work.

You don't get big like that without eating a lot and in a post-apocalyptic world where resources are scarce, no sane group would ever allow someone to eat that much.

Also, Colleen has an actual female hip, unlike Abby.
