Gonna play Devil's advocate here : not all people who post about that stuff on Reddit (or any social media platform, for that matter !) do it "for the karma". They just want to share it and/or know what people are thinking about it.

The name "Famous Man" just made me imagine a Mega Man boss themed around modern celebrity stereotypes. If that were real, it would actually be far from the most ridiculous concept they've used for such a character.
