Notes:

Whimsical Warfare came about from a discussion on /tg/ on taking well known events in military history and subjecting them to disneyfication in order to make them as innocuous and cuddly as possible. Due to the more general nature of the content, and the lack of a /his/ entry, I felt they belonged here instead of being in the /tg/ entry.

The nuclear bombing of Hiroshima marks the first time in human history that a nuclear weapon was deployed in combat and was followed shortly afterwards by the last use of a nuclear weapon in combat when a second nuclear bomb was deployed on the city of Nagasaki.

All of this comes at the tail end of years long incendiary bombing campaigns by the Americans which saw large areas of Tokyo and other Japanese cities destroyed in a series of massive firestorms.
