Now it's more than likely that the points brought up here are a complete crock of s---; but I found the contemporary view of China during the Warlord Era (just after the fall of the the Qing, but before the invasion of Japan and the rise of the CCP) by an outsider to be quite interesting, even if it is horribly biased. Ideally, it'd be nice to read about China from a Chinese perspective; but they burnt them all because Mao said "History Bad".
