I would understand the "no politics in gaming" complaint for games that actually merit it, like Tetris, Mario or Pokemon, where any political connotations are aesthetical at best (usually less than that), but when people say it for games that are literally about an international war with many political powers and entities involved, both real and fictional, that is where they lose me.
