All the pieces on the board are black, and so we can assume that because the naturally opposing color white is not present, it has been eliminated. Kuroi could thus be signifying with the usage of all black pieces that the world is already under his control and the war with 765 productions was over before it bequn. Thus, "Checkmate". TL Note 2: Alternatively, Kuroil just made an illegal statement. He called "checkmate" here, yet the only pieces that could possibly represent the king are at B2/G7 or E5/C6, respectively. None of these pieces are in a checkmate, and only one of them would even be considered in "check" by any reasonable estimate of what the pieces of the two opponents are. Thus his statement, "checkmate is an illegal claim for him to make. This could represent his tendency to make false claims about 765 productions when he is motivating Jupiter to crush them, or his tendency to commit shady or possibly illegal actions in competing against 765. TL Note 3: In addition to this, Kuroi is implying by this illegal statement that the rules don't apply to him, symbolized by how he often bends ethics to compete with 765 productions. Thus, he doesn't care about bending the apparent rules of the game as they are to everyone else, he makes his own rules TL Note 4: As a final possibility, Kuroi knows nothing about chess, proven by how he doesn't even know how to place two different colors on the board. He just has the chess set to appear like a sophisticated business man as well as to have something to fiddle with when he is planning devious measures Checkmate!

The original text says _婚活_ ("searching for a husband"), but someone on the translation team at NISA apparently mistook it for _妊娠_ ("pregnancy, pregnant"). One can see that proofreading was not a priority. It does make for an amusing mental image, though (with the ❤ implying that she might be extra _affectionate_ due to her hormone levels). I would choose such a healer without a question. As the tags say, this is from _Disgaea 5_. I also doublechecked this and found that it _is_ real, as there is a <a href="https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2237397975">fix</a> for this on the Steam Community page.
