Electronic Arts (EA) - The time has come

While I get the joke, it should be noted Ubisoft doesn't have exclusivity like EA did. Rather they're just one of the first big name companies to announce they have a Star Wars project in the works. The real situation is we're back to how things were prior to the EA deal, where Lucasfilm Games and Disney can license out the IP to whomever wants to make a Star Wars game. So for example Nintendo could make a deal to do a "Rogue Squadron HD Collection" on Switch with that entire trilogy (maybe Nintendo or Factor 5 still have the source code and assets for that planned Wii collection that sadly never got released), or Square-Enix tasks the Deus Ex team at Eidos Montreal to make a Star Wars RPG.

Yeah, I can't imagine Ubisoft fucking up to the degree EA did with souring lootoboxes for gamers and non-gamers alike. Getting the governments of the world involved.

Most likely scenario is that the new game just turns out to be another boring Ubisoft sandbox with a Star Wars skin. Which might just be good enough for some people at this point.
