The Lob is a similar household spirt to the Scottish Brownie or the Hob of the Northern Borders.

The only real difference is that a Lob takes the appearance of a large hairy man who breaks into your house to do your chores in return for a saucer of milk and a place by the fire to sleep, instead of being the size of a small child or smaller.

Just like with a Brownie or Hob, if you annoy one slightly , it will take it back out on you ten fold through either disruptive pranks or petty damage to the house itself.
