There is no reason to bury them because eating them would save much more lives and just because you are sad they died shouldn't mean others should have to die. But with animals you can kill them while there alive and that is viewed as fine while eating already dead humans is seen as wrong. In one case you are killing a being and in the other case you are putting a body which people shouldn't be offended by, and even if they are, why are their wishes more important use then food? When you think about it there is no logic in it. In conclusion, it is inconsistent to support eating animals but not dead people.
