Now this town is full of stories I could cover but the most interesting of which I believe to be the story of Sneed’s Feed and Seed. > Today this store predominantly sells both food and seeds for the local farms as the name suggests, but it wasn’t always this way. >As the sign behind me states, the shop has changed hands, now being owned by a local by the name of ‘Sneed’, little is known about the former owner, other than his name, Chuck. >Concerning this ‘Chuck’ next to nothing is known about him, no last name, no current address, no record of the shops previous name, other than the stuff of local legend. >And it all stems from the assumption that the shop was titled by a rather rude limerick. >I won't repeat it, YouTube doesn't allow it but that's beside the point. >No one knows the exact title of the former location, guesses are made that the alliteration of the current title takes inspiration from the former owner, and the fact that the current owner Sneed has titled his shop with rhyme. >Now I emailed Chuck but never got a reply back, I looked through all the zoning records I could access, but nothing could. Be. Found. >When I tell a story like this I like to end on an upbeat note, but in some cases I think things are better when left to the imagination, for this rural supply shop, it’s reputation and mythology are far more entertaining than the reality
