Bloodwrack Medusae are the results of a Dark Elf (Druchii) Sorceress of Ghrond, the Lore of Beasts, trying to use magic to try and make themselves more beautiful and attracting the wrathful gaze of Atharti, the elven goddess of pleasure and indulgence, who is totally not Slaanesh under a different name.

Now since this is Warhammer, the gaze of a Bloodwrack Medusa does not cause you to turn into stone, because that is just not fricking Metal enough.

No, it causes you to violently bleed out of every orifice and pore on your body until you die in a blood-soaked mess.

But before you run off to piss-off Not-Slaanesh so you can become a bitching magical snake girl with microwave vision, be aware that they live in constant, excruciating pain from their Chaos Mut-(coughs) Divine Curse and are almost always driven mad as a result.
