While shadows aren't really anything, just a visual effect from light being blocked, you could argue that dreams are made of the electricity from the synapses firing on the parts of your brain generating them, kinda the same way how computer data is physically made from electrons.

I mean, those are actually really good questions that scientists would probably love to hear
