Holy fucking shit.

They picked some really weird characters to reveal immediately though, namely Nigel Thornberry and Powdered Toast Man, but hopefully their inclusion is indicative of the roster's sheer scope.

in reply to Mr. Plankton

Rollback in general is something a bunch of Japanese made fighters are having trouble embracing (ones made by Bandai-Namco, Capcom, and Arc System Works also lack rollback), and Maximillion Dood explained in one video it's sort of a combo of two things. First is that Japanese companies typically only take Japan into account when making netcode, and while their netcode may work fine for a country the size of Japan, it doesn't in other parts of the world, but the companies being based in Japan can only think about it on the scale of their homeland. The other is perhaps a pride thing, though this also sort of relates to what I was just talking about. Basically "if it works fine in Japan then it should work fine everywhere else, I don't know why you foreigners think it's a problem," and they don't wanna make any changes to the net code because it'd like admitting that their system that works fine in their homeland doesn't work everywhere else.
