The sad thing, is that thanks to so many rich countries stealing valuable artifacts from poor countries and putting them on museums, these artifacts were saved and preserved, many of these poor countries suffer from:

- Natural disasters that destroy them
- Accidents that destroy them by mistake
- Wars that destroy them as collateral damage
- Thieves and corrupt politicians that take them
- Extremist groups that destroy them on purpose
