i would like to add, in countries that dont have a big holyday in november like thankgivings for the gringos, halloween is the last barrier of defense agains having xmas season starting in september or maybe earlier depending on when is your country's day of indepence

Halloween is better simply because it doesn't make me feel bad if I don't join in.
