A teacher in Palm Beach County, FL shared this template with us. It is being shared among teachers to use for grades K-3. How do you feel about this? What will you do when this arrives home in your child's backpack? Time to take a Stand. Dear Florida parent/caretaker: The Florida House of Representatives has recently ruled that "classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students." To be in accordance with this policy, I will no longer be referring to your student with gendered pronouns. All students will be referred to as "they" or "them." I will no longer use a gendered title such as "Mr." or "Mrs." or make any references to my husband/wife in the classroom. From now on I will be using the non- gendered title "Mx." Furthermore, I will be removing all books or instruction which refer to a person being a "mother," "father," "husband" or "wife" as these are gender identities that also may allude to sexual orientation. Needless to say, all books which refer to a character as "he" or "she" will also be removed from the classroom. If you have any concerns about this policy, please feel free to contact your local congressperson.

Went from Grist House to Dancing Gnome today with our dogs and were asked to leave Dancing Gnome even with their nice outside area NO DOG POLICY!!! I'm on a road trip and checking out some breweries in Columbus, Ohio, I'm not quite sure if I should go in, I forgot my dogs in Pittsburgh. Hell I'm going in to Wolf's Ridge brewing and later l'm hitting Elevator Brewing, I don't need my dogs to try beers. I am a sarcastic guy, always have been most likely always will. I am not looking for any action to be taken, I am just reporting a minor incident. I was doing yardwork in my front lawn today. I happily greeted Karen she did not return the greeting. She seemed who was in her yard but upset and then started verbally accusing me of letting leaves from my yard blow into her yard. I have always raked my leaves but she does not feel that way. I looked at her yard and did not see many leaves over there but she kept repeating that I was wrong for not taking care of my leaves. She pointed out five or six leaves that were in her yard that she felt blew over from my yard. She also complained about my Crepe Myrtle saying that leaves from the tree fell into her yard. She believes it is a seeious matter and let me know that she is older and cannot rake up leaves. I do not believe leaves blowing from the tree to her yard are my responsibility because I do not want to trespass onto her property. She seemed really upset so I just let her know I will try harder to rake up leaves and continued with my day. I am not looking for any action, I am submitting the incident for recordkeeping.
