Okay think about this, why open the premiere with such a scene? Of course discontinuous plots are used to the point of being a cliche but I think Gilligan is just trying to wet our appetites. How is Walt going to become a kingpin and subsequently have his empire razed before his eyes before this season is over? Answer is, he won't. Vince is going to leave the show with a very unsatisfactory (more bitter than sweet ending) and BrBa's dedicated fan-base will know it was because AMC funneled all its money into that estrogen-laced melodramatic romp known as Mad Men. Then a shitstorm will ensue. BrBa's fanbase (including a lot of NEET's from /tv/) will totally inundate AMC with emails and letters telling them to fund another season and it will exhaust them. There could even be denial of service attack on their site knowing the sheer extent of 4chan users capacity for butt-hurtedness. At any rate it will soon become apparent that Breaking Bad is too big to fail and either AMC will pick it up or one of their competitors will.
