I would say the Rabbids have become their own separate franchise distinct from Rayman, as they have had more games without Rayman now than with him, so let's look at this as them "burying the hatchet," so to speak.
If the Donkey Kong DLC for Kingdom Battle is anything to go off of, Rayman will get central focus in the DLC without Mario, so this is probably the closest thing to a new Rayman experience we can expect, given the franchise's current status. Soliani (the game's creative director) has expressed interest in doing a new Rayman game himself (since he worked on Rayman games such as Rayman M and Rayman GBC), so if the DLC sells well, it will hopefully show that people are still interested in Rayman as the star and prompt Ubisoft to greenlight a new game in the franchise.
