Quick note, in case it wasn't obvious, that T. rex is meant to be a juvenile. Unlike adult T. rexes, juveniles are much quicker and more slender animals that would have hunted medium-sized fast-moving dinosaurs, whereas the bulky, slow-moving adults hunted giant armoured herbivores. In fact, juvenile and adult T. rexes are so different from one another that scientists used to think the juveniles were a different dinosaur called Nanotyrannus.
