It's been a really long time since last watching Anastasia and holy crap I forgot how brutal Rasputin's death scene looks.

Him still living through having his flesh torn off his bones reminds me of some old ass copypasta (iirc, "the tarrasque wizard") where the defendants have a lich-like spell on them to make them unable to die and continue fighting even when they should be dead, which has the significant drawback of, just in case you get skeletonized, blown to pieces or turned into dust, you will still feel everything and "live" through it.
