On March 31st, 2021, iFunny^[1] user Ireallyfuckinghatethemods posted a voiced video of Shadow the Hedgehog captioned "Minor spelling mistake, I win," set to the Doom (2016) soundtrack. The video (shown below) was featured on the app and received over 26,600 smiles in two years. Instances of the image being used prior to the video post could not be discovered.

Spread

The video and a still reaction image based on it saw viral spread online in early April 2021. For example, on April 12th, 2021, Instagram^[2] user raccoos reposted the video, which gained over 29,600 likes and 172,000 views in two years.

On July 24th, 2021, voice actor Gianni Matragrano posted a voiced version of the meme that accumulated over 1.4 million views on YouTube^[3] and 5,400 retweets and 26,800 likes on Twitter^[4] in two years (shown below).

Through 2021, multiple GIFs captioned "minor spelling mistake" were posted on Tenor^[5][6] for further use on Discord, where they were used as reaction images (examples shown below).
