Even if he isn't Jewish, I doubt he's anti-Semitic or racist or anything. He's clearly just a dumb 15yo kid who pulled an even dumber prank. Nobody was hurt because of it, and he was even polite enough not to ruin the acceptance speech.
I just hope he's ready to live with the long-term social consequences of his own antics. This is the kind of thing you can't wipe from your record.
