What's Her Face is a cynical brat who won't shut up and let the player soak in the world. Chai's just here to have a good time and crack jokes with his friends and enemies, as one does in a cartoon.

It's all about tone. Imagine if Isaac Clarke was all like "Well, THAT just happened" or "Freakin' flesh monsters just ate that guy!" all the time.
