In October 2024, the @jenkinsresiliencecrew saw a significant increase in attention and viewership as users began to criticize their lifestyle and wonder if the living conditions of the children were appropriate. For example, on October 19th, 2024, she posted a video to TikTok^[2] about how her husband Drew wakes up early every morning to figure out how to make their life better, garnering over 500,000 views and 1,800 comments in 10 days.

On October 25th, the TikToker^[3] posted a video in which the family is seen transforming the dining room into a shared bedroom for the children, explaining how the house only has one bedroom, garnering over 9 million views in four days.

Notably, earlier in October, Jenkins posted a video on TikTok^[6] claiming she was "not ready to stop having babies" if they could "flip" their financial situation.

On the same day, X^[7] user @danishacarterr posted, "The selfishness adults showcase genuinely makes me sick to my stomach. you can’t even afford BEDS for your six kids, and you’re pregnant with a seventh," garnering over 220,000 likes in two days.

On October 28th, 2024, X^[8] user @gigibadazz posted, "If a black woman posted this CPS would’ve been there yesterday," garnering over 120,000 likes in a day.

The increase in virality of the parents' TikTok page inspired critical comments on their future uploads. On October 28th, 2024, TikToker^[10] @faithandbishop2 posted a video defending Resilient Jenkins and pointing out that many critics' math is wrong, explaining how "family of six going on seven" means the two parents plus four children going on five, not "six children going on seven children."
