To add to the notes, keep in mind that Russia had full control over Ukraine until the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991. Russia modernized the cities in Ukraine and pretty much were in control of how the country's layout was mapped out. Russian forces couldn't figure out how to navigate a country that they built. The invasion is hands down the biggest shit-show in modern history of warfare.

Despite USA iron fist history on Latin American, the government isn't trying to invaded Mexico, Canada and act like those countries existing was a mistake. USA isn’t trying to slow conquer northern Mexico. Despite the bad things in the past, USA and Mexico(and to extended Latin america) are atleast trying to have relationships that doesn’t have bad blood, despite the set backs. Meanwhile Russia clearly wants to control Ukraine and Eastern Europe with a iron fist.
