going to college in a decent small town, then returning home to your parents' house in a big city for the summer starter pack commuting 45 minutes to work at your summer job having more than a walmart to shop for groceries IS nice, but the suburbs cancel it out YOLD suicidally bored at your parents' house in the suburbs. you can't believe people actually live like this after living so close to scenic countryside for the past year you don't know how you ever put up with the ridiculous traffic, there was none at college, so coming back to your city and realizing just how bad it was after living in it for so long is a shock litter everywhere, because nobody walks or takes transit and just drives right by it, nobody cares to pick it up or keep things clean no public transit ridiculously long drive thru lines it seems like you spend your entire life away from college sitting in traffic, commuting to work, and sitting at your parents' house can't walk anywhere, nowhere to socialize freeway driving feels kind of daunting after living in an area where the biggest road was four lanes for the past year waiting for the next semester to start - who thought summer could be so f------ boring? it was what you lived for in regular school homicidally stupid and aggressive drivers - cutting you off, laying on the horn at green lights the second they change, going 500 mph, you're not sure how you put up with this either but it's gonna be your life for the next few months
