No. They hide so they can remain in their little nepo bubble, believing the power they have was gained by being smart and doing the right thing, and they'd prefer to just shut out anyone who threatens that reality they invented.

Maybe, but considering many of their employees are side or even main writers for some of the games they "consult" on, and they also dictate the design of characters, among other things, I think it's safe to say their involvement goes beyond consultation.
