Supper Mario Broth @MarioBrothBlog In the original version of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Bobbery is the only partner who does not fall asleep during Luigi's stories, likely due to an oversight. This was fixed in the Switch version, though whether this is an improvement is up to individual interpretation. In the original release, all of Mario's partners fall asleep listening to Luigi's story, except for Bobbery. While this is most likely due to an oversight, it serendipitously added depth to Bobbery's character, as he would likely be a fan of adventure stories, being a sailor.
