I feel it's more akin to the rubber duck method

It was popularised in software development studios when code wouldn't compile or errored and the cause was unknown. The programmers would explain how their code was supposed to work to to a rubber duck sitting on their desk and in so doing would 9 times out of 10 find the problem with their code

So by explaining to chatGPT in a detailed enough manner what your problem is you may end up noticing the cause and solve it yourself
