In Super Mario 64 DS, Peach only appears in cutscenes. Placing her in a level to interact with her during gameplay reveals that she says Bowser's final boss speech when talked to. in fact, it is number 208 (D0 in hexadecimal) which is a number that is completely unremarkable and as such had to be set by the developers instead of being some kind of default.
