Thragg and Viltrumites Panel or Thragg and Viltrumites Aura Farming, also known as Thragg and Viltrumites Redraws, is a redraw meme template based on a panel from the Invincible comics showing Thragg and the Viltrumites standing together in a group, Thragg holding the skull of the former Emperor Argall in his right hand. The original artwork is a portion of Invincible: The Ultimate Collection: Volume 7 and was drawn by Ryan Ottley and colored by John Rauch.

In late April through May 2026, the half of the image that shows Thragg and the Viltrumites became the subject of redraws on sites including Reddit, X / Twitter, TikTok and Instagram, with many noting the image evokes the slang aura farming. As a redraw trend, the artwork is typically traced over or redrawn to replace the characters in the artwork with characters from other shows, comics, video games, etc.

Origin

On March 6th, 2012, Invincible: The Ultimate Collection: Volume 7 was released. On August 2nd, 2014, Ryan Ottley, a comic book artist known for his work on Invincible and other Image Comics, posted the full cover artwork to his Deviant Art^[1] page, garnering over 20,000 views in 12 years.

On April 18th, 2026, TikToker^[2] @r.ai.ndom posted a slideshow of AI-generated recreations of the image, gaining over 1.4 million views in just over two weeks. This is one of the earliest known users to recreate the image.

That same day, Redditor Impossible_Issue9195 posted a human-made redraw of the image to the /r/dbz^[3] subreddit, depicting Thragg as Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z, gaining over 350 upvotes in the same span of time. This is one of the earliest known human redraws of the image.

Spread

The Thragg and Viltrumites artwork continued to inspire redraws throughout April and May 2026 as it spread and people created additional fandom versions.

On April 30th, 2026, Redditor Healthy_Future_5853 posted a redraw of the meme to the /r/pvzgardenwarfare^[4] subreddit that depicts the characters as Plants vs. Zombies characters, garnering over 3,600 upvotes in five days.

On May 1st, Instagram^[5] user irondeficit.mp4 posted a video of themselves redrawing the image to replace the characters with characters from The Simpsons, garnering over 560,000 likes in four days.

That day, TikToker^[6] @gorp7127 posted a redraw depicting Thragg and the Viltrumites as characters from Adventure Time that gained over 550,000 views in four days.

On May 2nd, X^[7] user @Imajination16 posted another redraw of the meme based on Adventure Time, with Princess Bubblegum replacing Thragg, garnering over 110,000 likes in three days.

On May 3rd, 2026, X^[8] user @MaytrixXdx posted a version that replaces Thragg and the Viltrumites with a variety of Cartoon Network characters, gaining over 70,000 likes in two days.
